A Little Something About Our Collectibles Shop
First, allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m Rick Demers, the webmaster, owner, and operator of Rick’s Coins. As a little boy growing up in Louisiana, I loved collecting coins and would save the money from my odd jobs just so I could purchase various rolls of coins from the local bank. Since then, my collection (as well as my knowledge) has grown quite a bit.
In addition to pennies, nickels and dimes, I also love to collect United States Type Coins, coins of the New Orleans Mint and Morgan Silver Dollars.
I’m currently a member of the Louisiana Numismatic Association, the Mississippi Numismatic Association, and the Alabama Numismatic Association. I have proudly been a member of the American Numismatic Association since 1972. Since 1995, I have been a member of the Crescent City Coin Club of New Orleans, serving on the Board of Governors and as the President/Vice President. I am an authorized dealer for the NGC and I have the coins certified and graded so you don’t have to!
Since 1996
Rick’s Coins got started in 1996 as a welcome extension of my longtime interest. Five years later, I entered into a partnership with Vic Turner, and so The Coins & Collectibles Shop was established.
